Tillandsia argentea Grisebach, 1866
Specimen of this species from Mexico and Guatemala have been set up as a new taxon Tillandsia fuchsii var. fuchsii f. gracilis in 1990 by Walter Till. Most plants considered as Tillandsia argentea are belonging to that taxon now, the real Tillandsia argentea is rather rare in cultivation.
