Howdie folks ! My name is Timm Stolten (founded in 1964), born in a very small village in northern germany, to small to mention it's name ;-). I did my master degree in horticulture and since 1990 I am working at the Botanical garden of the University of Heidelberg, germany. In 1993 I was offered to take care of the famous bromeliad collection which Prof. Dr. Werner Rauh had gathered over decades. After spending a lot of time in search for information, literature or hints for bromeliads during the past years, I decided to launch my own bromeliad forum in 2004. There the idea for this wiki was born.
